Workers Rights
The FMU ensure that the right of workers to employment benefits and social protection is in accordance with the applicable laws and regulation (including outlined in convention no. 29, 87, 98, 100, 105, 111, 131, 138, 169 and 182 of the international labour organization (ILO) convention).
FMU recognizes that from time to time employees may wish to set right their grievances relating to their employment and encourage free communication between employees and their superiors to ensure that problems can be resolved quickly to the satisfaction of all concerned.
Community Relation
As for community, the FMU has conducted social awareness program to local community settlements, provide assistance – Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) to the local communities living within and adjacent to the area as well as set up Community Representative Committee (CRC) and Forest Management Certification Liaison Committee (FMCLC) which serve as a platform for the local communities to voice their grievances and to resolve issues / disputes.
